''BAYELSA STATE AND GOVERNOR DICKSON BLEW 2 BILLION NAIRA ON AMAA'', APC

    The All Progressives Congress[Bayelsa State Branch] has accused Governor Seriake Dickson of blowing a whopping sum of 2 billion naira in hosting the recently- concluded African Movie Academy Awards[AMAA] in Bayelsa State.In a statement credited to and signed by the state's publicity secretary,Fortune Panebi,''AMAA has become an erected conduit through which scarce public funds are drained.''
      When contacted,the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,Mr Daniel Iworiso-Markson described the APC's allegation as ''false,damaging,malicious...a cheap blackmail and an attempt to mislead the public and score cheap political point.''
