''I WILL RULE BY SHARIAH LAW'',NEW EMIR OF KANO

  Old habits die hard. Throughout his period as the Central Bank of Nigeria[CBN] Governor, the newly-installed Emir of Kano,Alhaji Lamido Sanusi courted a string of controversies.The culmination of these is his suspension as CBN Governor by President Goodluck Jonathan. Against all odds,he emerged as the new Emir of Kano,and he has settled down in office.
  2 days ago, Emir Sanusi Lamido commenced his reign on a controversial note by announcing that he will rule by Shariah law,and whoever is guilty of stealing will have his hand cut off.The Emir of Kano's pronouncement has expectedly sent jitters down the spines of Kano residents,who apparently don't feel comfortably with the law.
