AYO FAYOSE BECOMES EKITI STATE GOVERNOR-ELECT

   Mr Ayodele Fayose who was the Governor of Ekiti State from 29 May 2003 to 16 October 2006 before being bundled out on an acrimonious note has proved to be a cat with nine lives and a man of destiny. Yesterday,the Independent National Electoral Commission[INEC] declared the Peoples Democratic Party's candidate as the winner of the Saturday,June 21 gubernatorial election. Fayose garnered a total of 203,090 votes and won in all the 16 Local Government Areas. The incumbent Governor who belongs to All Progressives Congress[APC] came second,garnering 120,433 votes while Mr Opeyemi Bamidele of the Labour Party came third with 18,135 votes.
   The incumbent Governor Kayode Fayemi congratulated the new Governor-elect in a World Conference in Ado-Ekiti. Meanwhile,President Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP also sent a congratulatory message to Ayo Fayose.
