A South East delegate of the ongoing National Confab in Abuja, Nigeria, Mr Ihechukwu Madubuike has revealed that a total number of 15,316 Nigerians are on death row abroad and several thousands of others are being incarcerated various prisons abroad.He made this startling revelation while making his contribution to the debate on the report of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Diaspora Matters in a plenary session on Tuesday.
Most of the delegates blamed the Federal Government of Nigeria for its defective foreign policies,saying it was responsible for the poor and negative image accorded Nigerians in the diaspora. Mr Madubuike also disclosed that about 6000 Nigerian citizens are held in various countries for drug-related activities.
