''I WAS COERCED TO MAKE FALSE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST ATUCHE'', WITNESS

     A witness,Mr Uguru Onyike,a former member of staff of Keystone Bank has testified before a Lagos High Court that he was forced to make false allegations of forgey against a former Managing Director of the defunct Bank PHB, Mr Francis Atuche. Onyike,a former Head of Operations of the bank's Central Shared Services CSS] Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos made the claim while testifying before Justice Lateefat Okunnu at the resumed trial of Mr Atuche in corruption charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC].
  Atuche  and his wife,Elizabeth are being prosecuted for allegedly stealing 25.7 billion naira belonging to Bank PHB[ now Keystone Bank] by EFCC.A former Chief Financial Officer of the bank,Mr Ugo Anyanwu is also charged with them. Onyike was led in evidence by Mr Atuche's counsel,Mr Tayo Oyetibo.
