Three popular Edo pastors have been arrested by the Nigerian Police for raping young,unsuspecting female members of their churches.One of the victims even got pregnant in the process. Pastor Uwem Friday of
All Nations Assembly Church was sentenced to five years imprisonment for the defilement of a 12-year-old Miss Happy Emmanuel. The clergyman reportedly took her to a farm and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her,resulting in five months pregnancy before the bubble burst. In another rape case,one Aladura pastor,Reverend Samson Odeyemi allegedly raped a 25 years old married woman,Mrs Theresa Ode, who came for spiritual cleansing.She was taken to a river for the spiritual bath,stripped naked and raped. The third case and perhaps the most heinous was a 44 years old pastor,Michael Gbrogbor who allegedly abducted a a 10 year old girl for sexual appetite.
