A few years ago, many Nigerians relocated to the neighbouring West African country,Ghana to establish businesses and settle down with their families. The attraction then was the strength of Ghanaian currency, cedis, the widening economic opportunities and uninterrupted power supply which was painfully lacking in Nigeria.
However, the Ghanaian economy has nosedived, and many Nigerians living in Ghana no longer have it rosy. The Ghanaian cedis have depreciated, employment opportunities have shrunk, and the pump price of petrol has increased. Many of them have relocated to Nigeria.
