GERARD MARTINO STEPS DOWN AS BARCELONA FC COACH

        Gerard Martino has stepped down as Barcelona F.C. coach,following the club's concession of this season's Spanish La Liga title to Athletico Madrid who last won it in 1996.No doubt, Barcelona F.C. had a lackluster season under Martino,crashing out of the UEFA Champion's League at the quarter final stage,and losing the King's Cup to their arch rival,Real Madrid F.C.
       Martino's resignation saved him some blushes,knowing fully well that he would be asked to leave the club at the end of the season.
