The billionaire business mogul and former Microsoft CEO,Steve Ballmer has signed a deal which is designed to perfect his intention to purchase the LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS with a whopping sum of $2 billion.The NBA club was reportedly bought by the embattled owner for a sum of $12 million over a decade ago.The owner,Donald Sterling has been having a running battle with NBA for allegedly making racist remarks in a reported conversation. If the deal sails through,it would prove to be one of the biggest deals in world sports. It will overshadow the buying of Manchester United Football Club for $1.4 billion in 2005 by Malcolm Glazer, who recently passed on.
The NBA Board of Governors will meet on Tuesday to ratify or annul the deal. According to the embattled club owner's attorney,Maxwell Bletcher,''the money is not critical to him.He intends to fight for his rights.''
