OSCAR PISTORIUS TO SPEND ONE MONTH IN PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL

Yesterday,the judge presiding over the murder case trial of South African star athlete,Oscar Pistorius has granted the request of the State's Prosecutor that Mr Pistorius should be sent to a psychiatrist for an independent examination of his mental health. This was as a result of the defendant lawyer's claim that Mr Pistorius' accidental killing of his girlfriend, Steve Reevecamp due to his childhood depression and emotional state as a result of being a double amputee and being from broken home.
      Meanwhile, Mr Pistorius' family are pleased with this ruling.
