The embattled South African athlete and paralympian, Oscar Pistorius who is undergoing court trial over the allegation of the premeditated murder of his girlfriend,Steve Reevekamp on Valentine's Day has commenced his independent examination in a psychiatrist hospital in Pretoria,South Africa. He will be there for one full month in order to confirm his defence lawyer's submission that Mr Pistorius's accidental shooting of his girlfriend's was triggered by his frustrated childhood, and his being physically challenged. The prosecutor insisted on the independent assessment and the female judge readily granted the request.
Meanwhile,his stay will be as quiet as possible,devoid of any fanfare. His widely-reported trial resumes on June 30th.
