NO END IN SIGHT ON POLYTECHNIC LECTURERS STRIKE
There is definitely no end in sight on the 11 months old strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Polytechnics [ASUP]. According to ASUP President, Mr Charles Asomugha, the strike has dragged on for so long due to the failure of the Federal Government to implement the agreement it signed with ASUP. He decried the lukewarm attitude of the Federal Government to the strike, which contrasts sharply with the Federal Government's deep concern and direct involvement when the Nigerian University lecturers were on strike last year.
