Jehovah's Witness elder,
Mark Sewell,53, from
Cardiff has been jailed for
14 years for sexually abusing three girls as young as 12 at his Jehovah's Witness church congregation in Barry near Cardiff, Wales in a string of sexual abuses that spanned 8 years. He raped one woman in his congregation, and impregnated her in thew process. She later suffered from miscarriage. All along, being such an influential member, his church has been shielding him.He was found guilty 19 years after the incident of 8 counts of sexual abuse.
During a 3 weeks trial at
Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court, jurors heard the salacious details of how Sewell would kiss the girl deeply,and would pull her on top of his body as he lay on the sofa of his 200000 pound sterling terraced home in Barry.

Mr Sewell is a sexual predator who took opportunities available to him to satisfy his sexual desires.He used his high position in Jehovah's Witness congregation to act in a sexually inappropriate manner with women.''
