GOVERNOR AMOSUN AND OTUNBA GBENGA DANIEL'S FEUD DEEPENS

The ongoing exchange of words between the incumbent Governor of Ogun State,Nigeria, Governor Ibikunle Amosun and his predecessor,Otunba Gbenga Daniel[OGD]  assumed a dangerous dimension on Wednesday over OGD's state of origin. The governor, while on a working tour to Odeda Local Government Area of the state told the crowd of party supporters that OGD was not a native of Ogun State, and hailed from Isoko in Delta State. He added that he played an active role in helping Daniel to become a Sagamu indigene. In his reaction, OGD said such a remark was an insult on the people of Sagamu, where he said he hailed from, as well as a taboo and effrontery on its traditional institutions. The fresh round of exchange of words was triggered by OGD's accusation of Governor Amosun of selling off all the farmlands in the area to other states.
