FRAUDSTER PRETENDED TO BE IN A COMA FOR TWO YEARS TO AVOID COURT OVER 40,000 POUND STERLING SCAM

  A fraudster, Alan Knight of Swansea,South Wales,faked being in a vegetative state and a coma for 2 years after he scammed his next-door neighbour out of 40,000 pound sterling. He was caught by police going on shopping trips and holidays with his family. The 47-year-old attempted to beat justice by claiming he was a quadriplegic;his family claimed he was hooked up to oxygen  and could not move from the neck down. A court heard he was caught out after CCTV captured him walking around  to DorsTesco and driving his car to Dorset. He was then taken before before Swansea Crown Court where he admitted bilking the pensioner who lived next door to him out of thousands of pounds. The fraudster had been living off benefits after claiming he had suffered a devastating neck injury.
