''YOU ARE A MAD PROFESSOR,'' GUMSU TELLS WOLE SOYINKA

      Africa's first Nobel Prize winner, Professor Wole Soyinka has been described as a ''mad professor'' by Gumsu,the beautiful daughter of the former military Head of State,late General Sanni Abacha.
      She tweeted that '' Soyinka is an empty mad professor who assumed the role of a critic in the Nigerian polity because of financial gains.''
    There are several flaws in Gumsu's statement.
    One,whoever calls a Nobel laureate ''empty'' must himself be intellectually starved. Empty brains do not Nobel prizes.. Two, Soyinka has never been certified a mad man. He is sane,perfectly okay. Again, Soyinka has been a critic in the Nigerian polity since the 1960s. Gumsu needs to read Soyinka's The Man Died to educate herself.
