One major event which has taken up much space in blogs and soft sell magazines across the country these past two weeks is the superlative wedding between 48 years old Honourable Rotimi Makinde, the honourable representing the Ife Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, and the 24 years old former Miss Osun state beauty pageant winner, Queen Oyebamke. It was a talk-of-the-town wedding which had Sir Shina Peters and Abass Akande Obesere on the bandstands.
However,the gist making the rounds now is that the actor turned politician practically emptied his bank account and even went aborrowing in order to make the wedding a classy one. He is now flat broke, and debtors have been on his neck.
With the jumbo allowances of the House of Representative members,I am sure his quarterly allowance will be enough to make him bounce back.
