ASUU /FG FACE OFF DEEPENS

       The lingering face off between the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities[ASUU] and the Federal Government of Nigeria took a new dimension yesterday with the Federal Government's  issuance of one week ultimatum to all the striking lecturers to resume at their duty posts or lose their jobs. To show that it means business,all Vice Chancellors have been ordered to declare the positions of lecturers who failed to obey this directive vacant.
     Meanwhile,ASUU has dismissed the FG directive as an empty threat.
     The whole world is watching the unfolding scenario with a keen interest.
