    MY husband lost his job last year as a banker with one of the new generation banks in Nigeria. He was a victim of the downsizing which many Nigerian banks embraced in order to stay in business. For the past 14 months now,all his efforts to get another job have yielded no dividend. As a result,the responsibility of taking care of him and our three children fell on my frail shoulders.My monthly salary of 60000 naira as a proofreader with a publishing company, BlackWorld Publishers,Lagos,Nigeria was barely enough to take care of our basic needs.
    One morning, my boss[the Publisher] summoned me to his office.On getting there,he expressed his undying love for me,and told me to be having a clandestine love affair with him. He promised to shower me with love and care. His amorous advances became so persistent that I eventually succumbed.Since he is a married man,he couldn't invite me to his matrimonial home. We normally met at an highbrow hotel tucked in a desolate street,far from the prying eyes of the public. He kept his promise,and gave me lump sums of money periodically. My husband noticed the change in the family's fortunes. I lied to him I have been promoted at my place of work and my salary has been tripled. He is too relieved by the financial cushion to probe further.
    My boss and I had sex regularly.I must confess that after overcoming my initial scruples,I began to enjoy the love making intensely.  We normally had unprotected sex;he disliked using condoms. Two months ago,my husband travelled to Abuja to try his luck on his job hunting.He put up with his Abuja-based younger brother who is still single. 6 weeks after his temporary relocation,I discovered that I am pregnant. Definitely,my husband who has not slept with me for the past 3 months is not responsible for the pregnancy. My boss has impregnated me.When I informed him,he kicked against the idea of abortion.He asked me to keep the pregnancy.

OKOTIE LACKS MORAL RIGHT TO QUESTION ORITSEJAFOR-------CAN

       The Christian Association of Nigeria[CAN] has challenged the controversial,stylish Pastor and founder of Household of God, Pastor Chris Okotie to manage his home and keep to the biblical principles of one man,one wife. This reaction came in the heels of Okotie's demand that CAN President,Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor should resign over the alleged involvement of his aircraft in the widely-reported $9.3 million smuggled into South Africa by two Nigerians and an Israeli. Okotie berated the CAN President on his Facebook page for dragging the revered association's name in the mud. The Director of National Issues in CAN, Mr Sunny Oibe told SUNDAY PUNCH that Okotie was looking for popularity through Oritsejafor. He said: ''Is Chris Okotie a christian?How many wives has he? He should go and sort out himself.Even the government has exonerated Pastor Ayo of all the allegations.So,who is Okotie?''
   OOB's submission on this matter is that in as much as I agree that Pastor Okotie definitely lacks the moral compass to criticise any christian for that matter, an association as big and as sensitive as CAN needs a President who is devoid of any controversy,unlike Ayo Oritsejafor.

GUNMEN ASSASSINATE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY OF BAYELSA STATE INEC IN YENAGOA

   UNKNOWN gunmen on Friday assassinated the Executive Secretary of Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission, Mr Simon Akpen in Yenagoa,the state capital. Commissioner of Police in the state,Valentine Ntomchukwu confirmed the killing on Saturday.The police commissioner said Mr Akpen's murder is suspected to be a case of assassination as his attackers left his residence after his death without tampering with his valuables. The assailants shot the victim in the head as he alighted from his car near his residence off Otiotio Road at about 10pm on Friday night. Sources said he died on the spot.His killers left the scene of the crime after accomplishing their dastardly mission.

   Nigerian fast-rising and multiple award-winning  music sensation,Davido also gave a commendable performance which impressed the audience greatly.His rendition of his hit, Skelewu outshone the performance of several other artistes who performed. For the first time in the history of the 9-year-old programme,viewers were allowed to meet the contestants one by one in one minute slots which afforded the contestants the opportunity to showcase their talents. BOKO HARAM RELEASED 27 HOSTAGES IN CAMEROON

   THE dreaded Islamic sect,Boko Haram, whose dastardly acts have wreaked a great deal of havoc on innocent Nigerian citizens have lately extended their nefarious activities to other African countries. The good news that was broken today is that Boko Haram has released 27 hostages in Cameroun who have been under their captivity for several months.The Cameroun Prime Minister's wife,and several other foreigners were among the released hostages.

60 SOLDIERS TO FACE TRIAL FOR MUTINY TODAY

     Another set of 60 soldiers are to be arraigned before the  General Court Martial[GCM] by military authorities in Abuja on Tuesday[today] for mutiny allegedly committed on August 4,2014 by their refusal to join troops in Maiduguri for 'an operation.' The venue of the arraignment is the Sani Abacha Barracks in Abuja. In a related development,some of the 12 soldiers convicted on September 15 by the GCM had notified the Court of Appeal of their intention to challenge the sentences. The GCM headed by Brigadier General C. Okonkwo had sentenced 12 out of 18 soldiers facing trial guilty of mutiny and other offences.They were sentenced to death. 5 were discharged and acquitted while the remaining one was sentenced to 28  days imprisonment with hard labour and reprimand.

    A new video has been posted online by ISIS showing British hostage,John Cantlie criticizing the U.S.A. President, Barrack Obama's 'predictable' military strategy for combating the terrorist group. In a video,shot in the style of a news report,Cantlie says organising the Iraqi army to fight the Islamic State will take months,while arming Syrian rebels is 'largely pointless'. WE OWE NO INSTITUTION IN NIGERIA---------BI COURTNEY

   The Management of Bi-Courtney Limited has said that the company does not owe any institution in Nigeria. The Head of Litigation,Babalakin and Co.,Mr Tola Oshobi made this disclosure at a press conference held at the Murtala Mohammed Airport Terminal Two in Lagos on Monday. He spoke after the Federal High Court discharged and struck out the order obtained by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria [AMCON] through its counsel,Mr Olisa Agbakogba over an alleged 50 billion naira debt. The company had on Sunday maintained that it was AMCON that actually owed it 132 billion naira.
