PROSTITUTE WHO WON 'SEX WORKER OF THE YEAR AWARD' DELVES INTO POLITICS

 

    Charlotte Rose,the controversial mother-of-two  prostitute is standing as Member of Parliament in Clacton bye-election. The former 'Sex Worker of the Year' Award winner who claims to have slept with over 1000 men is to stand as an independent MP. She will be contesting against Ukip defector Douglas Carswell and 1980s television star Giles Waiting in the Clacton by-election in Essex. She previously appeared on a Channel 4TV series about prostitution called Love for Sale, starring Rupert Everett and Russell Brand. The sex worker who went into active prostitution at 17 says she is ready for a life in politics. She says,''My main policy is about sexual freedom,taking control away from others. I also want there to be better sexual education in schools....Sex and relationships are second to survival when it comes to basic human needs.''
  In her heydays as a prostitute,Ms Rose charged 180 pounds sterling an hour for her services. She once fell pregnant and had the first of her two children with her childhood lover. Their seven-year relationship broke down irretrievably when she caught her partner with a neighbour.

GOVERNOR AMOSUN AND OTUNBA GBENGA DANIEL'S FEUD DEEPENS

  The ongoing exchange of words between the incumbent Governor of Ogun State,Nigeria, Governor Ibikunle Amosun and his predecessor,Otunba Gbenga Daniel[OGD]  assumed a dangerous dimension on Wednesday over OGD's state of origin.The governor,while on a working tour to Odeda Local Government Area of the state told the crowd of party supporters that OGD was not a native of Ogun State, and hailed from Isoko in Delta State.He added that he played an active role in helping Daniel to become a Sagamu indigene.In his reaction, OGD said such a remark was an insult on the people of Sagamu,where he said he hailed from, as well as a taboo and effrontery on its traditional institutions. The fresh round of exchange of words was triggered by OGD's accusation of Governor Amosun of selling off all the farmlands in the area to other states.

PDP ENDORSES PRESIDENT JONATHAN AS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

  The Peoples Democratic Party[PDP]  Board of Trustees has endorsed the Nigerian President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan as the Party's Presidential candidate for the fast-approaching 2015 Presidential election. Since the announcement, the President has been elated,and has started to put all machinery in place to ensure that he emerges victorious in the forthcoming election.

SECURITY BEEFS UP ON JUDGE THOKOZILE MASIPA

  Judge Thozokile Masipa who acquitted the South African paralympian of murder charges brought against him by Gerrie Nel-led prosecutors is presently under heavy police protection amid a barrage of personal attacks over the verdict she gave. She has been widely accused by South Africans of being too lenient on the double-amputee athlete. Officers from the  notoriously fierce Tactical Response Team   now guard her home 24 hours following the threats on her life.Police officers now reportedly check in on the 66-year-old High Court Judge every hour,and escorts her on her outings.
  South Africa's Legal Resources Centre is among the groups that have expressed concern over the threats and verbal attacks on Judge  Masipa since her delivery of the verdict. A survey by ROi Africa, a media monitoring firm  revealed that nearly 80 percent of social media posts on Judge Masipa have been negative and sarcastic.

LATEEF BELLO OSAGIE'S SON COMMITS SUICIDE

   LAST week, death knocked at the door of Lateef Bello Osagie, as his son mysteriously committed suicide.Lateef recently disengaged from his 2nd wife,and plans are already underway for him to take the 3rd. The young lad was the product of the relationship between stylish Lateef and his ex-wife,Aisha Rimi who has since remarried Folly Coker. The inability of the deceased to leave a suicide note further makes the issue more difficult to unravel. Lateed, currently the Managing Director of Hackett Nigeria Limited, a telecommunications equipment and parts supplier to leading operators in Africa is devastated by this tragedy.
  Lateef is also the Chairman of Western Pacific Communications Limited, and the Director of MTech Communications PLC.

SUICIDE BOMBERS KILLED 15 STUDENTS IN KANO

  2 suicide bombers this afternoon entered the Federal College of Education, Kabuwa, Kano State, and left heavy sorrow,tears and blood on their trail. 15 students have died from the bomb explosion, and several other students are seriously injured.No group is yet to claim responsibility for the dastardly act, although accusing fingers are already being pointed at the Boko Haram insurgency,based on their antecedent.

YOMI FABIYI RESIGNS FROM MOVIE AMBASSADOR

Popular Yoruba actor, Yomi Fabiyi has resigned as the Public Relations Officer[PRO] of the newly formed The Movie Ambassador[TMA] headed by ace Nollywood actor, Saheed Balogun. In a letter addressed to the General Secretary of the association, Yomi Fabiyi cited personal reasons informed his controversial resignation.
    Meanwhile,shortly after his resignation,the actor has indicated interest in working with the Lagos State Government to float a Film Academy.

  Former World Boxing Federation champion, David Haye has told IBF TV that he hasn't signed with any promoter yet. There are rumours that Haye plans on signing with American adviser, Al Haymon, but Haye insists that he is yet to sign with anyone presently. Also, Haye failed to address the rumours of him splitting up with his trainer, Adam Booth. ''My ultimate aim is to become the undisputed heavyweight champion'',he concluded.''It doesn't matter who trains me.''

ROBBERS USE SEX WORKERS TO TRICK VICTIMS

   A 27-year-old commercial sex worker, Victoria Amodu,who was arrested by the police as a suspected robber has confessed that she played a vital role for her gang during their robbery operations. PUNCH METRO learnt that Amodu,who hails from Benin,Edo State, was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command at a brothel in Seme, near Badagry.
  The police said apart from commercial sex work, Amodu allegedly belonged to a gang of robbers who were notorious for picking unsuspecting passengers in flashy cars and robbing them at gun point.PUNCH METRO learnt that Amodu was arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad after a member of the gang,Ahmed Isiaka,who had earlier been apprehended named her as an accomplice.

''NO AUTOMATIC TICKET FOR BUHARI'', ATIKU

  FORMER Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that the All Progressives Congress[APC] as presently constituted must hold an active party primary to choose its flag bearer for the 2015 presidential election. Atiku made this known in an interview with journalists in Abuja recently, in reaction to the clamour by the General Muhammadu Buhari campaign team for an automatic ticket for the retired general. According to him,''There is nothing like automatic ticket and those people who are asking for automatic ticket might have been coming from a political background that did not know contest before......''  He implored politicians not to be scared of a political contest because it helps to strengthen democracy,arguing that should he lose in a fair contest,he would support his party to win the elections.
   Meanwhile,there is now a titanic battle among political heavy weights on who will eventually clinch the APC Presidential ticket.The leading contenders include General Buhari, Chief Abubakar Atiku, Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha and Senator Bukola Saraki.

ABUJA BIG BABE,DUPE SANNI DIES 1 MONTH BEFORE WEDDING TO SENATOR

    ABUJA big babe, Dupe Sanni[better known as Dupsy] is dead.Until her untimely death,she dealt in properties,helping a lot of National Assembly members to acquire properties in Abuja and other parts of the world. Unknown to many people,she was single. She came to Abuja a personal aide to an Edo Senator who was rumoured to be  having a clandestine love affair with her. Dupe allegedly had a firm grip of the stupendously wealthy senator,and managed his finances, being a former banker. The Senator actually planned to marry her as a second wife, but his wife would have none of that.
   Dupsy later took ill. She was said to have died after complaining of serious headache. According to close sources, she had not less than four properties of her own scattered  in Abuja sub urbs, as well as shops in major areas of the city.

   IN an emotional interview with CITY PEOPLE, fast rising Nollywood Yoruba actor, Damola Olatunji's estranged wife,Raliat has lamented bitterly on how Bukky Awoyemi[aka Bukky Arugba] broke her marriage and snatched her actor husband from her. To complete the snatching, Bukky is now reportedly heavily pregnant for the suave,light-skinned actor, who has maintained surprising silence over his crashed marriage.

     Hear Raliat: ''I feel used and dumped,whenever I think of all I did for Damola.I have been supporting him. I have invested a lot....I am always withdrawing money from my account to send to Damola in Nigeria. Damola and I live in the Ahmadiyya area of Lagos,around Sango.When I asked around the neighbourhood,some of our neighbours say they used to see Bukky come into our place around 12 midnight and will leave very early like 5 am before all our neighbours wake up.But I don't blame her,it's my husband I blame.''
     When the aggrieved Raliat was asked her next line of action,she said:''Well, I am coming home in January to pack my things from the house. I have to move on.I am still a young girl,I dedicated  my entire life to him but see what has happened. I have no savings all because of him to look good and feel happy. But let's thank God for life.It's painful that I became a victim.''

  NOLLYWOOD stars seem to have been bitten by the political bug lately. Who says there is no money in politics? First,it was Kate Henshaw Nuttal[ does she still retain the 'Nuttal' in her name after the separation? somebody should help out here.] Next, it was the irresistibly pretty Funke Adeshiyan who wants to pitch her tent with the Oyo State House of Assembly come 2015.
   The latest gist in town is that sexy Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot has finally declared his political ambition. He is contesting for the 2015 Lagos State House of Assembly under the platform of All Progressives Congress[APC]. His colourful posters have been displayed around,and he has commenced vigorous campaigns.

WAEC RELEASES CHIBOK GIRLS' RESULTS

  MINISTER of Education,Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau on Monday disclosed that the  African April 2014 West African Examinations Council[WAEC] results of the abducted Chibok school girls are ready. The Minister,who made this disclosure at a stakeholders' meeting organised by the House of Representatives Committee on Education,over the Federal Government's directive that schools resume on September 22, added that the Federal Government was committed to girl-child education. According to him,''we have to look at it vis-a-viz the security situation and the implication before the formal release. It is right now in my possession. When the abduction took place,some remained and completed their exams,some others were abducted. So,the result is hapharzard.We are addressing that this afternoon...''

MOTHER,38,ATTACKED NIGHTCLUB STAFF FOR INTERRUPTING HER LOVE MAKING

   AN angry mother, Angelina Lloyd,38, attacked bar staff with her high-heeled shoes and handbag after she was caught having a drunken romp in a nightclub. She was absolutely furious at having her tryst with a mystery man interrupted. She removed her false teeth and went on a  rampage.
  Lloyd,a baker by profession, unleashed a torrent of abuse at staff,and hurled one of her high-heeled shoes at doorman, Alex Jenkins, hitting him on the head. She then punched a barmaid, before swinging her handbag at a female bouncer and jabbing her in the chest.She fled the SugarHouse in Colne,Lancashire but was arrested on getting home.She admitted three counts of assault by beating at Burnley Magistrates Court, and was fined 65 pound sterling and ordered to pay 105 pounds sterling as costs.
